Why is it important to remember beautiful things?

A gentle meditation to fill your inner basket with All The Beautiful Things that makes your heart smile.

Today I would love to guide you through a little meditation…

If you closed your eyes and imagined, what would you see in your hearts basket? You know, that basket that lives deep within your heart, that is usually filled with all the beautiful things that make you smile.

If you closed your eyes, what would you see inside it?

For example:

the love for your children
the love of your animal
the sunrise
your flowering garden
the majestic waves that splash on the beach
that amazing symphony you listen to that lifts your soul and fills your heart
the first time your soul mate smiled at you.

You get the idea?

So what beautiful things live in your basket?

Can you write a list of all the Beautiful things that live in your basket and email me? I would be honoured to read what treasures live in your basket, in your heart.

I would like to share a childhood memory with you.

When we were children my parents would end the night by saying to us all,

“Goodnight.
Sweet dreams.
All the Beautiful Things.
And I love you.”

I remember some evenings when I was going to bed, Dad or Mum would sit with me if I felt sad or worried, confused or anxious and together we would list ALL THE BEAUTIFUL THINGS that happened to me that day, that week, that month etc.

By doing that I would remember the magic that filled my inner basket (although that’s not what I called it then) and I would be able to sleep knowing I was loved and filled with magical moments and beautiful memories.

Sometimes if I had a bad dream, Mum or Dad would come in in the middle of the night and lay with me and remind me of all the beautiful things that happened in my life. Reminding me again and filling me with beautiful energy, happy memories, colourful images - feelings, images, beauty, magic all the things that made ME smile.

And in doing that the bad dreams had no where to live anymore, and I was able to go back to sleep.

yep, this is a technique I use with my children if they wake with bad dreams.

My friends,

You have a basket that lives inside you too.

Today I invite you to list all the beautiful things that lives inside your basket
list them
draw them
feel them re-awaken inside you again.

I invite you to share them with a friend,
post them on social media,
write them in your journal

So today, I would love you to

Remember

All the beautiful things that makes you smile

Next week I will share a meditation on what to do if your basket gets filled with “Unwanted STUFF”.

Sam x

Hi! My name is Sam, and while I am a shamanic practitioner/spiritual mentor with over 20 years experience, I am predominately recognised for my innate ability to facilitate profound positive change in peoples lives. Change that invites and welcomes folk, like you, to come home, home to the innate wisdom and healing medicine that lives within.

Through shamanic journeying, guided visualisation, storytelling, breath techniques, soul retrieval, and a plethora of other skills I will energetically walk with you as you weed your soul’s garden, befriend the once feared dragon, unearth your inner sacred sites, and welcome home lost and fragmented soul parts.

I open my door to you and invite you in for some Individual healing/mentoring sessions and/or maybe an empowering workshop or two.

Until we meet,
Blessed be
