This page outlines my privacy policy.
At this stage I am unsure how to write legal jargon in my own words
and for that I am sorry you have to read such heavy text.

I hope to be able to one day rewrite this in a way that everyone can read easily.

The only data collected and kept is when you book in for a treatment, voluntarily sign up for email newsletters or purchase any products or online courses. You maybe asked for the following personally identifiable information, (“Personal Data” but is not limited to:

Use of Data 

We may use this data to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. Of cause at any time you may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or similar instructions in any email we send out to you. Other ways in which we use this data include:

To notify you about changes to our Service

To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so

To gather analysis or valuable information so that we can improve our Service

To monitor the usage of our Service

Data storage

If you register or sign up with the Service we will store your details. If you purchase things like a CD or online course we have an email copy of your purchase which is kept. 


Mailchimp:

If you’ve signed up for anything or bought anything on our site – like our newsletter or online workshops - your name and email address makes its way over to Mailchimp, which is the system we use to manage our newsletters and emails. They are GDPR compliant. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time by hitting the unsubscribe button.

Teachable:

Some of our courses run on a learning management system called Teachable.  When you sign up for a course, your name, email address and the course you want to take is sent over to Teachable where it sits there and lets you access your course. Teachable has its own secure payment systems and are GDPR compliant.

If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

Payments 

Teachable has its own payment system and are GDPR compliant 

Other courses and merchandise (eg when you purchase CD’s) are paid via direct deposit which you have total control over, or PAYPAL

We have no access to your bank details or credit card details. Your payment details ARE NOT held on the site.

Email Marketing and Newsletters

If you sign up to our newsletter, we will send you a newsletter – generally around once every 4-6 weeks, but occasionally more. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe button in every email. Your name and email address are stored securely in Mailchimp.

If you sign up for a course, we will send you emails about the course. The frequency of which depends on the course on offer. 

Your right to be deleted.

At all times you have the right to be deleted from our newsletter or from the Teachable courses you are enrolled in.

The payment system you used to book courses through our Teachable site will need to be deleted by yourself via the Teachable website.

Your purchasing history though will not be deleted as this shows the taxation department a history of all monies transacted through www.samanthacorrie.com.au. 

Retention of Data

www.samanthacorrie.com.au will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

www.samanthacorrie.com.au will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

Behavioral Remarketing

In the future we will likely install Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel.

Facebook Pixel will be used to send you facebook ads if we see that you are interested in our offerings. The Facebook Pixel means that we can see how people interact with our site and with Facebook adverts and then we try to sell you relevant stuff.

The only information that we see is that a person / people are interacting with our site in a particular way. No other personal information is gathered.
